Jaguar Returns to Racing with Bob Tulius

In one final, splendid chapter of the E-type story, Jaguar returned to racing for the first time since 1956. Jaguar North America commissioned two racing teams to compete in V-12 E-types. They Bob Tullius’s Group 44 based in Virginia and Huffaker Engineering in California. They competed in Sports Car Club Of America B-production races in 1974 when Bob Tullius just missed taking the national title. In the summer of 1975, Tullius provided the E-type with its last major racing success under the Jaguar team name when he and his number 44 Jaguar won the SCCA B-production national championship.
